A single lacquer bead sits at the center, warm and luminous.

The Lacquer bead formed on a wooden core, the bead is coated with layers of natural lacquer using a "variable coating technique". This process creates subtle, unpredictable patterns within the surface, making each bead distinct. Fine gold detailing appears gently across the red ground, adding depth without overpowering the form.

Alongside it, a cylindrical piece of ebony wood introduces a grounded, natural contrast. The surrounding black agate beads bring rhythm and continuity, their polished surfaces adding quiet weight to the composition.

Together, the materials create a balance of color, texture, and form—structured yet calm, distinct yet unified.
